Our client is a leading electrical retail company situated in Hertfordshire, seeking to employ a lead Graphic Designer to design, develop and present concepts for printed marketing and advertising materials 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
To lead a team of designers, give them regular one-to-ones, biannual appraisals and encourage their development
To oversee all work being produced by the studio – make sure it's in line with the brand and act as quality control
To create pieces of finished print-ready artwork, either from own initial designs or from templates through the use of professional DTP software
To work on a range of Direct Marketing, PR and commercial leaflets, posters and brochures and adhere to the Comet brand guidelines as appropriate
To be able to prepare artwork for print and have a thorough knowledge of pre-press techniques.
To art direct photo shoots
To be responsible for signing off and press-passing projects and checking artwork and information on printers' proofs. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Must have proven experience in a design and DTP environment
Experience in working with a retail organisation would be an advantage
Must have a strong portfolio of work.
Must have a thorough knowledge of design software for Mac.
Must be able to progress projects from initial brief to completion and make artwork ready for print.
