Job Summary

My Hertfordshire based clients  are going from strength to strength seeing rapid growth and is a family run business dealing in the online luxury sector.

Due to recent expansion, they are seeking to add a photography retoucher to their creative team. A key department to the company, the creative team are responsible for producing all of the visual on-line content and all print and digital marketing campaigns.

Working with other members of the team, you will be responsible for editing the product images produced by their photographers and preparing them for upload to their website. A good understanding of Adobe Photoshop and Mac OS is a must, as are strong organisational skills and a proactive attitude. Excellent attention to detail is required and you will be expected to be able to follow company style guides to produce large volumes of images to the required standard.

The ideal candidate will also be able to cope well under pressure, working to weekly targets and deadlines to ensure stock is edited and regularly uploaded to the website. Strong creative editing abilities are also desired as the role may also involve some assisting in creative content for the online magazine platform.

The role is a permanent full-time position with working hours 9 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday and will be based at their headquarters in Hertfordshire.

Salary to be discussed at interview and is dependent on experience. Must be a UK citizen and hold a full uk driving license as the role requires driving due to location.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Editing and formatting of e-commerce images (both still life and model) whilst adhering to company style guides.
  • Correct formatting and naming of image files suitable for web publishing.
  • The uploading of product images to the website
  • Editing of creative content for advertising, online Magazine and social media content.
  • Assisting with various other tasks in the creative department.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Demonstrable Photoshop skills – retouching, making selections, tonal and colour adjustments cropping and sizing for web use.
  • Excellent Attention to detail
  • Ability to cope with large work volumes whilst sticking to weekly deadlines.
  • Mac literate
  • Ability to follow strict quality control and company guidelines with regards to website imagery.
  • Good organisational skills – role will require the ability to adhere to company data filing structures.

Desirable Skills

  • Keen interest in luxury products
  • Good understanding of suitable file formatting for web use
  • Experience in using other Adobe applications – InDesign & Illustrator
