The demand for primary care professionals is increasing. GP’s now need to be free to consult as we are seeing triage lists increasing, hybrid roles being created, and leaders utilising and extending skill sets to meet the demand.
The Advanced Clinical Practitioner has long been a feature of future NHS plans, but we are now seeing a new impetus behind this role. The ACP will become increasingly important, under new plans, as the NHS aims to develop a strategic approach and common, comprehensive understanding of the ACP role. The NHS claims a newly defined ACP will benefit the health system, education providers, commissioners, patient and public, employers and future members of the health care workforce. In recruitment, we expect more emphasis on this role, and a clearer guide on professionals.
New powers for Paramedics to independently prescribe drugs are a huge step forward for ‘rapid but, safe and sustainable care’ according to the College of Paramedics. This could represent a watershed for Paramedics. They are now able to be newly accredited with a common non-medical prescribing course – what could come next? We predict that the role of the Paramedic will increase further as the NHS looks to converge skills wherever possible.
Our services are available collectively, individually, or as bespoke packages to suit different needs and budgets. They are split into three simple stages to match the steps candidates and clients follow; ‘Search’, ‘Selection’ and ‘Support’.
A private provider of primary care services to primary care sites across the UK whose aim is to help the NHS to deliver its five-year plan. A clinically led group of over 50 sites, including GP Practices, Walk-In Centres, and Urgent Care Centres.
With over 30 recruitment suppliers directly engaging with their sites, the decision was made to rationalise the supplier base and bring it in house, mandating the recruitment process.
After initial discussions, they highlighted the challenges they had encountered and as a business what they were looking for in a recruitment partner. An invitation to tender was received, a proposal written and we were selected to present.
Feedback after the presentation was that they felt we listened, we were in tune with their workforce planning challenges and were able to offer reliable, compliant solutions across all of their 50 sites.
We were awarded a ‘tier 1 supplier’ to the business and appointed an Account Manager to supervise three consultants and an escalation point for queries that needed additional assistance.
Introductions were made with all 50 sites. Processes were written internally to manage new procedures, to improve the recruitment process resulting in GP’s being placed quickly and retained for longer.
We successfully filled positions across all sites, the relationship between candidate and client has improved tremendously and we have now been asked to tender for the recruitment of locum nurses and health professionals.
