National Apprenticeship Week 2019_

‘Nearly all apprentices feel that they acquire or improve their skills as a direct result of their apprenticeship’ – .Gov.uk

At Agenda we believe in the power of apprenticeships as a way to find and nurture students or young adults with enormous potential. We know of so many apprenticeship success stories, both from our own business and from candidates that we have placed.

In recognition of National Apprenticeship Week, we have asked two of our very own apprentices about their experience.

Sam Norman – Business Administration apprenticeship – 1 Year 8 months

“My background was in hospitality and I knew I wanted to move into an office based role, but had no idea where to start. I did not know what skills I needed, and how to get my first ever office role. My apprenticeship allowed me to learn on the job but also on my related assignments. I’m very grateful for my apprenticeship because at the end of it, I am now in a job and working environment that I thoroughly enjoy.”

Jessica Hannon – Recruitment Consultant apprenticeship – 2 Years

“I applied to work for Agenda and was offered an apprenticeship to learn the different aspects of recruitment and administration. With exposure to all parts of the business, I was able to decide what function suited me best. I would never have guessed on my first day that accounts and sales administration would be so rewarding! If it wasn’t for the apprenticeship, I wouldn’t have found a job that I have grown to love. It has introduced me to a wonderful company and team!”
